Multi Media/Wood Carving
Michael S Green was born in 1959 in Sumter, South Carolina. He has lived in England and up and down the east and west coasts of the United States.
Throughout the early part of his life, Michael won many awards for his artwork. Actually, by the age of 11, he was already selling his art. At 15, Michael moved into the Cannery on Cannery Row in Monterey CA. The Cannery was an artist guild known as the Monterey Academy of Fine Art. It was he where he received instruction in oil painting to further his study of fine art.
It wasn’t long before he was offered a position as an instructor, and began teaching the basics and finer points of oil painting to classes of up to 20 people of all ages.
Over the last 15 years, Michael has been traveling all over the lower 48 and Canada to gain more insight into his art. Michal now returns to his roots to settle and peruse his dreams of being a first class artist. He works in several media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, air brushing and wood carving.
